Observe the magic of glassblowing at the Glassworks Hot Glass Studio. The process begins with a roaring 2200 F degree furnace which contains the molten glass. The hot, honey-like glass then is "gathered" up and the artisans move into action to realize their ideas. Throughout the creation of each piece, they utilize age old tools and techniques along with some modern technology to transform the hot glass into a wide variety of works of art. In the final moments, the artisans' passion combined with the intense heat of the fire provide the energy which results in the vessels, objects, and sculptures of their imaginations.
